Viva Revel ($0-$464K)
DIY Marquee Kits (Event Decor)

Viva Revel taught me how to build and manage a team while dialing in project management. I learned how to coordinate with event planners, script content, and create shot lists alongside creators. Tapping into UGC networks gave me a deeper understanding of how different creators approach content — from ideation to execution.

Before this brand, I used to think shorter ads were always better. But with the higher price point, I realized customers needed way more social proof and trust than I expected. Even though we tested a ton of creatives, about 85–90% of our sales came from just two UGC videos.

This product was tough to explain without a video demo. Our go-to hook was: “Let me show you how to build these DIY marquee kits in under 30 minutes!” We didn’t need someone to sell it — they just had to genuinely like it and explain how it worked.
I scouted hundreds of UGC creators on Upwork, Fiverr, TikTok, and networks like Insense, but in the end, I stuck with two long-term creators. The key wasn’t spending hours perfecting a script — it was finding creators who were THE PERFECT FIT.

Most brands overlook the backend — things like customer support, fast shipping, quality inspections to prevent defects (devastating for brand reputation), and even replying to comments or DMs. But all of that adds up. The more connected your customers feel to you and your brand, the more likely they are to go out of their way to help — whether that’s leaving a review, sending in photos or videos, or recommending it to a friend.
The real growth multiplier is how you treat every single customer. That relationship goes a long way.

Every single customer who reached out via email got either a replacement or a full refund — no returns required. I had built dozens of these kits myself, so I knew that if someone wanted to return it, they probably just didn’t feel like building it anymore. But if it was free, they might still give it a shot.
Funny enough, some of those same customers ended up placing our biggest orders and even left super positive reviews on our ads. Put the customer first, and they’ll take care of you.

Focus on building an actual BRAND. This isn't a quick money-glitch.
